Macbeth Manliness post

1.
Lady Macbeth
act 1 scene 5 line 47
Quote: "come, you spirits that that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me from crown to the toe top-full of direst druelty." In this quote lady Macbeth is talking about how she wants to be a man in this situation. Macbeth is being a coward and not doing the deed so she wishes she could. She is asking to be a man so she could have the courage and cruelty to do the deed.

2.
Malcolm
act 4 scene 3 line 252
Quote: "lets make us medicines of our great revenge to cure this deadly greif." In this quote Macduffs family has been brutaly murdered and Malcolm tells Macduff to take it like a man, and use it to your advantage to kill and fight Macbeth.

3.
Macbeth
act 5 scene 7 line 1
Quote: They have tied me to a stake. I cannot fly, but, bear-like, I must fight the course. What’s he that was not born of woman? Such one am I to fear, or none.” In this part of the story there is no hope left for Macbeth to survive. So he decides that a man would fight till his death and thats what he does.

4.
Macbeth Sayton
act 5 scene 3 line 38
Quote: "M: I’ll fight from my bones my flesh be hacked. Give me my armor.
                S: Tis not needed sir...”
In this quote Macbeth knows that it is his dutie as king to fight like a man against the army about to take his kingdom. He is told not to by Sayton but he ignores it and chooses to fight the battle like a man, because he knows it would be cowardly of the king to run.

5.
Macbeth and Sayton
act 5 scene 5 line 18
Quote: “M:  Wherefore was that cry?
S: The Queen my lord, is dead
M: She should have died hereafter.”
In this quote Macbeth finds that his beloved wife has comitted suicide. He knows that he has to be a man and grieve here later. So he uses it as motivation and anger towards the army surrounding him.
